Finally Fall!!!

The past month has been a whirlwind! I can’t believe it’s almost been a month since school started!! Time has been flying by so fast. I’ve been keeping busy with work, homework and extracurriculars! I’m loving everything I’m involved in but it doesn’t leave a whole lot of time to stop and enjoy the moment. I’ve felt a little overwhelmed trying to check off all of the goals I laid out for myself at the beginning of the year. My greatest concern is how my actions right now will affect my future. An uplifting quote I found recently has helped shift my perspective;
"Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future." – Gordon B. Hinckley
Sometimes our best has to be good enough, and we have to trust that the rest will work out in whatever way it is meant to.
Recent events have made me feel like the world is ending. With all of the hurricanes, earthquakes and acts of terror, it is easy to fear for the future and what the next day will bring. One thing that has kept me going throughout this difficult time is the way that people have come together to help each other! People who experienced tremendous loss through natural disasters have been met with love by others who have come to their aid, bringing supplies and leading disaster clean up efforts. The awful shooting in Las Vegas on Sunday night has resulted in an outpouring of love and solidarity from people all around the world as we try to wrap our heads around something so despicable. Voices have been raised to address important issues as well as express messages of sympathy and love.
In times of distress, it’s imperative to find the good!! Look for the light at the end of the tunnel. Strive to be selfless and lose yourself in service for someone else.
On a lighter note, it’s finally fall in Utah!! The leaves have started to change to gorgeous shades of red, orange and yellow. The air is crisp and smells like fall!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!
I took a break from homework and studying and convinced a couple of friends to take a scenic drive through Provo Canyon and the Alpine Loop. It was the perfect study break AND SO PRETTY!!!!
